Signing of the memorandum on cooperation between the Enterprise Armenia Foundation and Invest India

On June 28, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Enterprise Armenia Foundation and the Invest India Enterprise was signed on the digital platform.

Ambassador of Armenia to India Youri Babakhanian and Ambassador of India to Armenia Kishan Dan Deval delivered opening remarks. Director of "Enterprise Armenia" Leon Ohanesyan and Executive Director of "Invest India" Deepak Bagla, delivered welcoming speeches.

In his speech Leon Ohanesyan emphasized the efforts aimed at the development and promotion of trade and economic ties between the two countries. Deepak Bagla, in his turn, highlighted the importance of signing a memorandum aimed at deepening institutional cooperation between the two national institutions.

In his speech, the latter also recalled being presented the “Invest India” Award from the President of Armenia Armen Sargsyan back in October 2018, during the bi-annual World Investment Forum 2018 at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

The speeches were followed by the signing ceremony of the Memorandum.

According to the signed document, Enterprise Armenia and Invest India have stated their intention to provide mutual assistance in promoting the investment climate in the two countries, to provide mutual support to the business circles of the two countries, and to strengthen business ties between the two countries. According to the above-mentioned memorandum, the two structures also confirmed their intentions to jointly promote the development of Armenia-India business and investment relations.
